What Happens After a DMCA Notice Is Received?

After receiving a properly submitted DMCA notification, we will review the information provided and determine what action is appropriate under the DMCA.

Depending on the circumstances, we may remove or disable access to material identified in a valid copyright complaint and may notify the user or contributor who submitted the material.

We may also request additional information when necessary to evaluate a copyright complaint.

Submitting a DMCA notification does not guarantee that material will be removed. We may decline to take action when a notification does not satisfy the requirements of the DMCA or when other circumstances make removal inappropriate.

Repeat Copyright Infringers

Good-Faith Copyright Complaints

Please do not submit a copyright complaint unless you have a good-faith belief that the material is being used without authorization or otherwise infringes your copyright.

Knowingly submitting materially false information in a DMCA notification or counter-notification may result in legal consequences under applicable law.

Third-Party Content
