The real-world inspiration for the casting is the 911 Turbo Cabriolet (964 generation), an extremely rare version produced around 1993 by Porsche's Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) department - only six were ever built. The die-cast model captures key details of the car, including the licensed Porsche crest, signature 911 "turbo" styling cues such as the whale tail spoiler and engine cover air intakes, as well as the cabriolet roof molding.

The 2025 release featured an Amethyst Metallic body with a pink interior in one version. For 2026, the casting continues to appear in Mainline assortments, Case C, suggesting it is being carried over rather than retired, making it accessible to collectors while maintaining potential for new deco variations.
